Sugar Land
Previously prairie land. Now densely populated. Big homes, shopping, restaurants, parks. Yes it got its name from the famous Imperial Sugar Plant that headquartered there. It’s is now the home of The First Colony Master Planned community and shopping center. There are other Master Planned communities in the area. It was a trudging Drive in to the city. Highway 99 has relieved the traffic somewhat. The toll roads coming in from the sprawling area are known to be packed at rush hour, but that is true of commutes in Houston. South of the city, it is the home to sports and TV celebs. It is not advisable to work anywhere past the Medical Center area if you live in the area. South of the city, flat land, gulf breezes reaching its clouds into the area. Our housing is built around employee centers. In other words working very far north would not be conducive to living in Sugar Land.
